Abstract:
In an automobile including front and rear seats (Sf) and (Sr) disposed at a longitudinal distance on a vehicle body floor (F), rearward-extending support arms (A) are provided at lower portions of sides of the front seat (Sf). The rear seat (Sr) includes a seat portion ( ) which is connected at its front end to tip portions of the support arms (A) and pivotally turnable between a predetermined tilted-down position ( H) and a standing position ( S), and a seat back ( ) which is connected at its lower end to a front end of a rear floor section (Fr) and pivotally turnable between a predetermined standing position ( S) and a tilted-down position ( H). A receiving surface (Fm) for supporting the seat portion ( ) lying in the tilted-down position ( H) is formed between the front floor section (Ff) and the rear floor section (Fr) higher in level than the front floor section (Fr), and when the rear seat (Sr) is in service, the seat portion ( ) is retained in the tilted-down position ( H), and the seat back ( ) is retained in the standing position ( S). Thus, an occupant can sit in a forward-facing attitude on the rear seat. Moreover, the baggage chamber space is enlarged, and the floor structure simplified.

A pair of foldable rear seats for a motor vehicle includes a support stub fixed to the vehicle and a pair elongated support arms pivotally connected to the support stub. A pair of seat bottoms are pivotally connected to each of the respective support arms, such that each seat bottom is pivotable between a vertical folded position and a horizontal open position. Further, a pair of seat backs are each pivotally connected to a rear portion of each respective seat bottom in order to fold into the respective seat bottom from an open position. A headrest is slidably disposed on each seat back. Furthermore, a pair of seat legs are each pivotally connected to the seat bottom at an outer portion thereof so that when the seat bottom is in the open state, the seat leg, in its open position, extends from the seat bottom to the vehicle floor.

Abstract:
A multifunctional tray in a vehicle armrest adapted to temporarily receive food and beverage items is provided. The tray includes a tray body and a beverage container receiving aperture defined in the tray body. A recessed bin is defined in the tray body spaced apart from the beverage container receiving aperture. The condiment container receiving aperture is defined in the tray body adjacent the recessed bin. The condiment container receiving aperture has a generally segmentary shape defined by a generally circular aperture wall and an intersection between the condiment container receiving aperture and the recessed bin. The segmentary shape is appropriately sized to selectively receive rectangular and circular shape associated condiment containers while permitting access to the associated condiment container through the recessed bin for removal of the associated condiment containers.
