A map-note holder for attachment to an automobile steering wheel. The map-note holder is a flexible, elastic support strap which can be stretched across the steering wheel and tied thereto. The map holder has a plastic means for holding a map and has a movable light means for showing light directly on the map. For storage, it can easily be removed, folded up, and stored in the glove compartment, or the like.
An enclosure is provided over the bed of a pickup truck and includes a support wall along each side in which four tote trays are accessible and removable through doors in the opposite sidewalls of the enclosure. A divider wall extends between the enclosure sidewalls to define front and rear storage areas with the front storage area having top and bottom sections separated by the support wall which extends between the opposite sidewalls of the enclosure. The top section of the front storage area is accessible from the inside of the cab. The rear wall of the enclosure includes a door which is removable, pivotal upwardly or pivotal downwardly to provide a worktable surface. The pivoting action is provided by top and bottom retractable outwardly extending actuating pins received in slots at the top and holes at the bottom in brackets mounted at the sides of the door opening. Upon the door being pivoted upwardly and pushed inwardly to the end of the slots the upper end of the door engages stops which hold the door in a raised horizontal position. Two separate controls for the two pairs of actuating pins are provided and each involves a rotatable member connected to the actuating pins on opposite sides of the axis of rotation such that rotation of the control member causes the actuating pins to be moved together inwardly or outwardly.
A ladder rack mounted on top of a vehicle includes upstanding guide stops at one end only of the rack on each side frame member for holding one end of a ladder while the other end is being pivoted onto the rack. An upstanding stop on an end cross-frame member engages a rung of the ladder adjacent one end and a coil spring mounted on a cross-frame member at the other end of the rack includes a perpendicular finger end portion adapted to be pivoted from a horizontal position to a vertical position in engagement with an adjacent rung of the ladder to apply pressure downward and towards the stop on the other cross-frame member.
An animal confinement building includes an upper animal floor and a lower animal waste pit having a lower floor. Scrappers are mounted on a continuous cable movable back and forth the length of the lower pit floor. Controls for the cleaning system are mounted on a wall in the area of the upper floor out of the corrosive environment of the waste pit. A pair of cable stops are carried on the cable and operate limit switches which cause the motor to reverse directions and stop at the end of a completed cycle. A programmable control is provided for automatic operation of the cleaning system.
