Abstract:

Detection of degradation of a touch-based user input device may allow for notifying a user of an impending failure of the touch-sensitive user input device so that the device may be taken out of service or repaired. Systems for detecting degradation of a touch-based user input device may carry out one or more operations including, but not limited to: determining that a signal indicative of a user touch is erroneous; providing a user notification indicative of a degradation of the touch-based user input device in response to determining that a signal indicative of a user touch is erroneous.

Abstract:

A tool for recommending proper sun block use. The tool receives, by one or more computer processors, a first image of a user captured by a camera, and a second image of a user captured by a camera, wherein the first image is an ultraviolet image, and the second image is a digital color image. The tool determines, by one or more computer processors, areas of ultraviolet radiation vulnerability for the user captured in the first and second image. The tool determines, by one or more computer processors, a level of ultraviolet radiation vulnerability for the determined areas. The tool determines, by one or more computer processors, a recommendation for proper sun block use based, at least in part, on the level of ultraviolet radiation vulnerability.

Abstract:

Detection of degradation of a user input device may allow for notifying a user of an impending failure of the user input device so that the device may be taken out of service or repaired. A method for detecting degradation of a user input device may carry out one or more operations including, but not necessarily limited to: determining that a portion of the user input device is degraded based on two or more received signals of the user input device, the two or more received signals being indicative of one or more user inputs; and providing a user notification indicative of a degradation of the user input device in response to determining that a portion of the user input device is degraded based on two or more received signals of the user input device.
