Abstract:

An HVAC evaporator core temperature probe apparatus and assembly method in which the temperature probe has a seal member mounted intermediate opposed ends. First and second apertures are formed in the HVAC housing, one adjacent the mounted position of the probe sensing end and the other end spaced from the access aperture and receiving the seal member to dispose the electrical connector on the other end of the probe conductor exteriorly of the housing. The temperature probe is inserted in the evaporator prior to mounting the evaporator core in the HVAC housing. The seal member is snap mounted in the first aperture in the housing to dispose the electrical connector exteriorly of the housing. After separation of the probe sensing end from the evaporator core and separation of the seal member from the first aperture, an existing temperature probe is removable through the second aperture in the housing.

Abstract:

A distributor box for a heating, ventilating and/or air conditioning apparatus for a passenger compartment of a motor vehicle, comprises an air inlet for admitting a heated airflow and/or a cold airflow into the distributor box therethrough, a plurality of air outlets for leading the airflow to different zones of the passenger compartment, and at least one distributor valve pivotally mounted within the distributor box for pivoting movement between a plurality of positions whereby to distribute said airflow between the plurality of outlets. The distributor valve is provided with vane members on at least one face surface thereof for guiding the airflow from the air inlet toward at least one of the air outlets. The vane member is integrally formed on the distributor valve.

A vehicle dashboard includes a trim panel defining an airflow opening. At least one register duct defines a register opening. The at least one register duct is disposed adjacent to the trim panel and the register opening aligns with the airflow opening. At least one demister duct defines a demister opening. The at least one demister duct is disposed adjacent to the trim panel and the demister opening aligns with the airflow opening. A first air deflector slidably engaged with the at least one register duct. A second air deflector slidably engaged with the at least one register duct.

Abstract:

Methods and systems are provided for an exhaust system of a vehicle. In one example, the exhaust system includes an exhaust tail pipe with an asymmetric outlet. The asymmetric outlet of the tail pipe may flare outwards, away from a central axis of the tail pipe, circumferentially surrounded by a housing with a geometry matching a geometry of the asymmetric outlet.
