Methods, Devices, And Kits For Treating Mitral Valve Prolapse
Described here are methods, devices, and kits for treating a prolapsed valve leaflet. The devices generally comprise a flexible cord, a first anchor attached to the cord at its distal end, and a second anchor slidably attached to the cord. The first anchor may be configured to secure the cord to cardiac tissue located below a prolapsed valve leaflet and the second anchor may be configured to secure into the prolapsed valve leaflet. Also described are methods for treating a prolapsed valve including the steps of securing a first anchor to cardiac tissue located below the prolapsed mitral valve leaflet, securing a second anchor to the prolapsed mitral valve leaflet, tensioning a cord connecting the two anchors and securing the cord. Kits including the described devices are also provided.

Abstract:
Described herein are devices and methods for improving the hemodynamic function of a patient. In particular, a first device adapted to reshape an atrio-ventricular valve is used in combination with a second device configured to further alter the blood flow through the valve. The first device is typically an implant positioned in the subvalvular space of a ventricle. The second device may be an annuloplasty implant, a non-annulus valve apparatus implant, a ventriculoplasty implant, or a cardiac rhythm management device.
Methods, Devices, And Kits For Treating Valve Prolapse
Methods, devices, and kits are described for addressing cardiac valve repair. A system for deploying a tensile member between two tissue structures may comprise a first anchor insertion instrument defining a working lumen therethrough, and a second anchor insertion instrument movably coupled through the working lumen, wherein the first anchor instrument defines a jaw space and is configured to deploy a staple prosthesis into a portion of a first tissue structure which may be captured within the jaw space, and wherein the second anchor instrument is configured to deploy an implantable anchor, such as an anchor dart, into a second tissue structure which is coupled to the staple prosthesis by a tensile member, such as a suture.
