Abstract:

A pet carrier for securing and transporting a pet in a vehicle having seat with a lower seat anchor. The pet carrier includes a base, a cover extending upwardly from the base, an entryway formed through the cover, and a handle secured to the carrier. An extendible/retractable rail assembly is fixedly attached to the base of the pet carrier. The rail assembly includes a clamp at a distal rear end of the rail assembly, a securement mechanism and a release mechanism. The clamp is configured to attach and lock onto the lower seat anchor of the vehicle. The clamp is selectively extendible from and retractable into the rail assembly to facilitate attachment and release of the pet carrier to the seat.

Abstract:

Abstract:

A corner seal device is disclosed for use in preventing unwanted air leaks in ductwork sections intended for directing conditioned air in heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems (i.e., HVAC systems). The corner seal device eliminates potential air leaks caused inter alia, by the flange members of the ductwork sections, and further, it avoids previously known costly expenses and loss of time to seal the unwanted air leaks created when the flange members of the ductwork sections are made and are prepared for assembly of the ductwork sections. A method of assembly of such ductwork sections incorporating the unique corner seal device of the invention, is also disclosed. A duct for directing conditioned air in heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems incorporating such ducts is also disclosed. Abstract:

A mouthpiece having particular suitability for cooling oral tissue of a patient undergoing chemotherapy or other medical treatments in which reducing oral cavity temperature is beneficial. The mouthpiece includes a cooling medium contained within the top element and the bottom element and able to retain a cooling environment within the mouth, preferably sufficient to reduce capillary blood flow to the patient's mouth. In one embodiment, an external chamber extends from the front of the mouthpiece to house a cooling medium. A bladder is positioned inside the external chamber for storing a solution having a freezing temperature above the freezing point temperature of the cooling medium to assist in cooling the cooling medium. At least one breathing tube extends through the external chamber to permit a patient to breathe through the mouth when the mouthpiece is emplaced within the mouth in the operative close-fitting relationship.

A cooling medium () is contained within the receptacle and able to retain a cooling environment to cool the beverage. In one embodiment, a beverage container has an opening () that permits the emptying of the beverage from the container and a coolant capsule () within said container. The cooling capsule () contains a cooling medium and the capsule is dimensioned such that the capsule is larger than the opening () but has surface characteristics () which permit the beverage within the container to bypass the capsule () and to exit the opening.
