Continental Automotive Systems US, Inc. - Auburn Hills MI
  • International Classification:
    H03K 9/00
  • US Classification:
    375316, 375320, 375323
  • Abstract:
A receiver is utilized to receive signals from various systems within a vehicle such as tire pressure monitoring system (TPM) and a remote keyless entry system (RKE). During the on time, the receiver sequentially is open to receive a first signal with a first baud rate. If the signal of the first baud rate is not received, the receiver receives a second signal at a second baud rate. Upon receipt of a transmission, the receiver operates according to a mode that corresponds to the transmission indicated by the specific baud rate. The operation of the receiver can include specialized filtering, or other known signal processing that is tailored to the specific transmission data communication requirements.

  • Abstract:
A transmitter identification code is designed such that the code varies as the code is assigned. In one embodiment the code will include information with regard to the date and time that the code is initially determined. In a second embodiment the code is provided by incrementing a counter, and then modifying that counter information such that the final code is non-sequential.

  • US Classification:
    455/420000, 455/068000
  • Abstract:
A remote signaling system includes a transmitter having an oscillator portion. In one example, the oscillator is a Colpitts oscillator having a transistor. An antenna of the transmitter is directly coupled to the emitter of the transistor. With this connection, transmitter efficiency and reliability is increased without introducing additional cost into the system. In one example, the remote signalling device is a transmitter for a remote keyless entry system. In another example, the signalling device is part of a sensor arrangement for monitoring a selected condition of at least one selected vehicle component.

  • US Classification:
    380203000, 726002000, 380220000, 380238000
  • Abstract:
A system and method provides a wireless link that is adaptive to the current electronic environment. An electronic control unit monitors signals that are proximate the vehicle that make up the current electronic environment. The electronic control unit evaluates these signals along with any other signals proximate the vehicle. The evaluation of the signals includes the determination of a best signal modulation and strength that would best avoid potential interferences with the other signals. The determined transmission protocol is sent in the prompt signal to an authentication device. The authentication device in return transmits the identifier signal according to the determined transmission protocol.

  • Abstract:
An example wireless communication system receives signals from several wireless systems such as for example a tire pressure monitoring (TPM) system, a remote keyless entry (RKE) system, and a passive start and entry (PASE) system. Each of the systems provides different signals of different frequencies and modulations. The example receiver includes multiple channels that correspond to the signals from each of the example systems. Each of the channels is operable concurrently to monitor and receive signals from each of the system according to a desired hierarchy. The multiple channels eliminate transmission collisions between signals from the different systems.
