Lillian Elsinga Outstanding Student Leader of the Year Student Involvement and Leadership The award recognize the exemplary student leaders, organization advisors, and student organizations who strive to make a difference in our community. Gerald Dupre Jr. School of Law Scholarship recipient UND School of Law The Gerald Dupre, Jr. School of Law Scholarship shall provide for one or more scholarships to a current University of North Dakota Law student(s). The recipient shall be an African-American student and have a proven record of academic achievement and the strong potential to succeed in the future. The Keating Law Scholarship Endowment recipient UND School of Law As a retired Navy Jag Admiral, Tim Keating has established the Keating Law Scholarship Endowment within the University Of North Dakota School Of Law. Allocations from this endowment will provide for one or more scholarships to a University of North Dakota School of Law student demonstrating financial need. Stephen Rice Law Book Scholarship recipient UND School of Law This scholarship has been established to fund the purchase of books up to $450 for a first year student who is of African-American decent and a member of the Black Law Student Association (BLSA).

Swenson law school scholarship fund will be awarded to two students in their second or third year of law school with a minimum GPA of 2.5 and must be North Dakota residents with exhibited financial need. The John Halvis Memorial Law Scholarship recipient UND School of Law The John Havlis Scholarship Fund was established by the Class of 1983 to honor their classmate after his untimely death in 1992. This award, a complete set of the North Dakota Century Code, shall be presented annually to a graduating senior who has demonstrated a present intention to maintain a rural practice within the State of North Dakota, who demonstrates a high moral character and potential to succeed within the law profession, and who is actively involved in the community, with a particular emphasis on social concerns. Consideration shall be given to scholastic achievement and financial need, but these shall not be over-riding criteria.
Criteria: Graduated Third year student, commitment to a rural practice, demonstrates a high moral character and potential to succeed within the law profession, actively involved in the community, with a particular emphasis on social concerns. University of North Dakota Nontraditional Student of the Year Association of Nontraditional Students in Higher Education "Nontraditional Student Recognition Week” is a national celebration held in the first week of November each year by ANTSHE, Association of Nontraditional Students in Higher Education. In celebration, the Student Success Center and Adult Re-entry program would like to recognize the support many campus departments provide and celebrate nontraditional student success.
Candidates must be considered a non-traditional student, which primarily includes currently enrolled adult learners who may have one or more of the following characteristics: 25 years or older, returning/re-entry student, distance/commuter, student with work/family obligations, transfer, international, or military/veteran student.
