A surgical skin marker has a handle body and a removably attached marking tip that is provided in a protective sterilized bag. After a single use, the marking tip can be removed and discarded. A new marking tip can be attached for a subsequent surgical procedure or treatment. Such a marker can help maintain a sterile surgical environment while minimizing waste and costs.
The present invention concerns a topical treatment dispenser including a sanitary housing having at least one outlet for receiving and supporting a tube containing a topical treatment, a sanitary detachable cap for covering the outlet and a flow control mechanism for controlling the flow of the topical treatment through the outlet. The topical treatment dispenser prevents contaminants from coming into contact with the topical treatment contained therein such that the topical treatment is dispensable in a medical environment.
A razor assembly includes dual razor heads mounted on a single handle. One razor head is adapted to hold a conventional size blade. The other razor head is adapted to hold a much smaller blade for convenient shaving around one's nostrils and for trimming of moustaches, beards and sideburns. The user can choose between either razor head simply by rotating the handle with his fingers.
A fluid shield for retarding the spraying and lateral leakage of body fluids from a pressurized anatomical structure includes a transparent flexible shield body terminating in a rim which defines an opening to the interior of the shield body. The rim is adapted to securely engage various body contours surrounding the structure so as to align the opening with the structure. The rim can be secured by adhesives or by manual pressure. The shield body can be penetrable by a surgical instrument for incising the structure, and fluids released from the ruptured structure are captured by the shield body for subsequent disposal. The shield body can be conveniently stored in a compressed stack disposed in a dispensing container. The outer surface of the rim can be textured to pull the next lower fluid shield of the compressed stack partially out of the dispensing container for subsequent removal.
