Abstract:

A method for monitoring a bandwidth configuration for a plurality of customer premises connected to a video head-end office in an Internet Protocol television network is disclosed. The bandwidth configuration is received for each of the plurality of customer premises. The bandwidth configuration is stored for each of the plurality of customer premises in a memory of a first server. A data file is received from the video head-end office. The data file indicates that a set-top box device located at one of the customer premises has requested a video stream that would exceed a first number of video streams available to the one of the customer premises and that would exceed a first bandwidth currently available between the video head-end office and the one of the customer premises. The data file is stored in the memory of the first server.

System and methods to visually present assets and access platforms for the assets are provided. A particular method includes receiving asset data associated with an asset and user data associated with a user. The method includes determining available platforms for the asset from the asset data and the user data. The method includes generating a display including information identifying the asset and an icon corresponding to an access platform in the available platforms. The icon includes a first indicator when the user has an access right to the asset for the access platform. A system for monitoring order fulfillment of telecommunication services is disclosed. An apparatus that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a monitoring system having a controller element that submits a correlation ID to a service orchestration system (SOS) that manages one or more order fulfillment systems (OFSs) that collectively fulfill a select one of a plurality of telecommunication service orders according to a plurality of intermediate fulfillment steps, receives from the SOS information associated with the plurality of intermediate fulfillment steps tagged with the correlation ID, records said information according to the correlation ID, and collects correlated fulfillment activity for the plurality of telecommunication service orders from a plurality of iterations of the foregoing steps. A method and apparatus are provided that interact with an IPTV product deployed in a communication network. The method and apparatus of the present invention collects subscriber activity data, such as channel changes generated by the subscriber while watching video or TV in an IPTV system. The system and method of the present invention collects, parses and processes this consumer activity data. The method and apparatus of the present invention collects and aggregates the IPTV consumer activity data from multiple IPTV consumer activity data collection systems. The aggregated data, collected over a national or global basis can then be used to generate metrics.
