Abstract:
Devices and methods for delivering a fluid to a patient are disclosed herein. In one embodiment, a delivery system includes a reservoir for containing a fluid and a fluid communicator in fluid communication with the reservoir. An electrochemical actuator is coupled to the reservoir and configured to exert a force on the reservoir upon actuation such that fluid within the reservoir is communicated through the fluid communicator. The actuator includes a first end that is constrained and a second end that is not constrained. The actuator is configured to bend at a location along a length of the actuator when actuated such that the second end of the actuator is displaced in a direction toward the fluid reservoir. The actuator can be an electrochemical actuator. The apparatus can further include a transfer structure disposed between the actuator and the reservoir configured to contact the reservoir upon actuation of the actuator.

Abstract:
Helmets for applying a magnetic field to the head of a subject, comprising: a housing comprising a concave surface configured to receive a portion of the head of the subject; a motor coupled to one or more of: a first permanent magnet via a first axle along a first axis of rotation, wherein the first axle drives movement of the first magnet; a second magnet via a second axle along a second axis of rotation wherein the second axle drives movement of the second magnet; and a third magnet via a third axle along the third axis of rotation wherein the third axle drives movement of the third magnet, wherein the axes are parallel; and a fit mechanism comprising a adjuster coupled to the first magnet, wherein movement of the adjustor moves the first magnet independently of the second or the third magnet.

Abstract:
A tissue cutting device includes a flexible elongate body including a channel extending therethrough, a distal member connected to a distal end of the elongate body. The distal member includes a lumen extending therethrough in communication with the channel and a recess extending through an exterior surface of the distal member along a portion of a length thereof. The recess extends includes a receiving structure at a distal end thereof. A cutting element is slidably received within the channel and the lumen so that the cutting element is movable between an open tissue-receiving configuration and a closed tissue-gripping configuration, in which a distal portion of the cutting element extends across the recess such that the distal end of the cutting element is received within the receiving structure, a portion of a length of the distal portion extending radially beyond an exterior surface of the distal member.
