Abstract:
A clocking bar includes a rod and an indicator located along a length of the rod, wherein the indicator has a pair of indication components with a predetermined spacing therebetween. The bar also includes a hole one locator located along the length of the rod, and a rear hole locator located along the length of the rod. The clocking bar is configured to identify a stack bolt hole one from among a plurality of bolt holes on a rotor through use of a relationship between physical features of the rotor.

Abstract:
A first plate includes an opening configured to be placed over a blade of a first rotor. A second plate includes an opening configured to be placed over a blade of a second rotor. Each plate includes a first pin configured to contact a leading edge of a blade located on one side of the blade in the opening and a second pin configured to contact a leading edge of a blade located on an opposite side of the blade in the opening, and a third pin configured to contact a leading edge of the blade in the opening. An indicator line is marked on the first plate and a pair of boundary lines marked on the second plate are spaced apart a distance indicative of an acceptable range for blade clocking between the first and second rotors when the indicator line is located between the boundary lines.

Abstract:
A method for assembling a rotary machine includes providing a first rotatable element. The method also includes coupling a second rotatable element to the first rotatable element. The first rotatable element and the second rotatable element at least partially define a cavity therein and at least one conduit extending substantially axially therebetween. Further, the method includes coupling a purge device including at least one radial channel defined therein and extending to the first rotatable element and to the second rotatable element such that the at least one radial channel is coupled in flow communication with the cavity and with the at least one axial conduit.
