Abstract:

A device for arranging a distance between an optical element and an image sensor. The device includes a housing mechanically coupled to the optical element, a frame mechanically coupled to the housing, the frame having a first extension, and a base movably coupled to the frame, the base having a sloped first channel accommodating the first extension, the first channel having a first stop point and a second stop point, wherein the frame moves between the first stop point and the second stop point, which correspond to first and second distances between the optical element and the image sensor, respectively.

A system and method are provided for automatically setting the focus of a camera assembly; providing a camera assembly having a sensor die having indicia points located on a surface, a lens assembly having at least one optical lens; a lens assembly holder configured to adjustably hold the lens assembly in a position about the sensor die, and; exposing the lens assembly to a light source; automatically adjusting the lens assembly with respect to the sensor die; automatically measuring the focus of each focal indicia with respect to the positions of the lens assembly; and setting the position of the lens assembly with respect to the sensor die at an optimal position.

Abstract:

A portable brewing device is provided for brewing a hot beverage such as espresso that includes a compressed gas container communicating with a pressure regulator that is configured to control the pressure of gas released from the compressed gas container. A release switch is configured to communicate with pressure regulator and configured to release pressure controlled gas when actuated by a user. A water vessel is configured to receive the pressure controlled gas when the switch is actuated by a user. A mixing vessel can hold a brew substance and is configured to communicate with the water vessel and also configured to receive water from the water vessel to pass through the brew substance when pressure is released from the gas container through the pressure regulator. An outlet is configured to release a brewed product produced from water flowing through the brew substance contained in the mixing vessel when brewing.
