Eddie Sutton didn't do so hot there, either. But Tech should have been a great fit. Not sure Billy Clyde is really the private school type, either.

view source- while his departure from A&M was less than ideal, theres no doubting the huge mark he left on the program, even to this day under Mark Turgeon. Like Tech, A&M was regarded as a football school only before Billy Clyde came to town and its a similar vibe in Lubbock right now. While Aggie ba might take him a year or two but the Red Raiders will go from being a Big 12 doormat to a top contender in the league. There isnt any reason to think Billy Clyde cant deliver results at Tech similar to those he produced during his time with the Aggies. Expect him to mine the vast talent base of T
