Abstract:

A roll of plastic bags having integral handles which can also be used to close each bag. The bags are formed as a continuous web of folded and flattened bags each joined to a longitudinally contiguous bag by a perforated severance line. The handles are defined by a cut-out region so that separation of the bags is effected by tearing the line of perforations only across a relatively short length.

Abstract:

Embodiments of the invention blend polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), and polystyrene (PS) with calcium carbonate (CC) or other filler(s) to form a single or multi-layer plastic film. The result is an improved plastic film that retains the beneficial properties of conventional plastic films, but can also be easily fractured and creased. Embodiments of the invention also provide a method for manufacturing the single or multi-layer plastic film.

Abstract:

A dispensing pouch comprises at least one polymeric bag or liner, and a polymeric dispensing section. At least one polymeric bag or liner comprises first and second body panels that are joined along a pair of opposing sides and a bottom bridging the sides so as to form an open mouth. The joined first and second body panels form an interior space for collecting items. The polymeric dispensing section is adapted to receive and contain the at least one polymeric bag or liner. The dispensing section is adapted to form an opening to access the at least one polymeric bag or liner. The dispensing section is limited to a predetermined size for enhanced portability. The predetermined size of the dispensing section includes, for example, a length less than about 4 inches and a width less than about 4 inches or an area less than about 15 square inches.
