One aspect of the present invention involves a blood pressure recorder system of the type having an inflatable cuff, a pressurized gas source and an inflation valve. The system includes a cuff pressure trigger unit which senses the gas pressure in the cuff. When the duration of significant gas pressure in the cuff exceeds a predetermined time, the cuff pressure sensor facilitates relieving pressure in the cuff. The system also includes a safety system for insuring that the cuff pressure trigger unit is operative. The safety system is independent of changes in the input power. Also disclosed is an improved doppler ultrasonic blood pressure transducer and a novel method for automatically positioning a blood pressure transducer adjacent a skin surface.
A method for converting a conventional glove into a more comfortable glove by altering the shape of the glove fingers of the conventional glove. A stitching is usually disposed along the tips of the glove fingers of a conventional glove which causes discomfort because it is not aligned with the fingernails of the hand in the glove. An aperture is cut into the upper portion of the glove finger and the aperture is sewn together, thereby pulling the stitching upward to be aligned with the fingernail and creating a more comfortable glove. Alternatively, a fold is made on the upper portion of the glove finger and the fold is sewn together, thereby pulling the stitching upward to be aligned with the fingernail and creating a more comfortable glove.
A dispensing carton for tissues, aluminum foils, plastic wraps or the like has a top portion which includes an elongated opening for withdrawing tissues from the carton. The dispensing carton includes a plurality of strings having first and second ends. The first ends are attached to one end of the opening and the second ends are attached to an opposite end of the opening. The plurality of strings are configured to form a slit for holding the tissues to prevent dropping into the carton. The strings may be made of any elastic strings, such as a common rubber band or elongated coils.
Electric Generator That Generates Electrical Energy By Magnetic Induction
The present invention relates to an electric generator that uses electric coils and magnets to induce electrical energy by magnetic induction. The present invention utilizes more coils and magnets then the prior art in similar size enclosure so as to maximize the amount of electrical energy generated. Air flow is effectively induced by the present invention to dissipate excess heat created by the added coils and magnets. In addition, the present invention utilizes heat fins strategically placed to maintain the system with n a predetermined operating temperature range.
