Abstract:

A sink assembly for use on a vehicle that in one embodiment includes a mounting frame with an opening for mounting the sink assembly to the vehicle. The sink assembly also includes a door that is movable relative to the mounting frame and a sink top connected to the door. The sink top has a sink bowl with a drain, and is movable between a stowed position when not in use or when the vehicle is traveling to an operational position for use of the sink assembly. The sink assembly also includes at least one attachable plumbing apparatus that is connectable to a fluid source. The sink assembly may further include a storage container for storing the plumbing apparatus when not in use or when the sink top is in the stowed position. The plumbing apparatus may include at least one of a faucet or a hose assembly.

Abstract:

A plumbing apparatus includes a housing having first and second opposite ends and defining an interior volume therebetween and an inlet fitting connected to the housing and connectable to a fluid source external to the housing. In one embodiment, the plumbing apparatus may also include an outlet fitting connected to the housing, disposed on the exterior thereof and in fluid communication with the inlet fitting; and a hose assembly receivable in the housing for storage, with one end thereof connected to the inlet fitting, and the other end of the hose assembly connectable to the fluid source. The plumbing apparatus may further include a cover member to cover one of the ends of the housing. The cover member may be operable between a closed position preventing access to the interior volume and an open position allowing access to the interior volume. The hose assembly may include a female fitting on said end connectable to the fluid source. The plumbing apparatus may further include a fluid line interconnecting the inlet fitting and the outlet fitting.

Abstract:

A sink assembly for use on the outside of a vehicle. The sink assembly may include a mounting frame attached to the exterior of the vehicle and a removable sink top mountable on the mounting frame. The sink top includes a sink bowl with a drain. The sink assembly may also include a sink frame attached to the sink top, wherein the sink frame provides the attachment of the removable sink top to the mounting frame. The sink frame holds the sink top in a generally horizontal position when attached to the mounting frame. The sink assembly may further include a drain hose connected at one end to the drain in the sink bowl. The end of the drain hose opposite to the end connected to the sink bowl includes a fitting for connecting the drain hose to a drain opening in a side of the vehicle. The sink assembly may further include a storage container for storing at least one plumbing apparatus. The plumbing apparatus may include at least one of a flexible faucet, a coiled hose, or a hose with a shower head.

Abstract:

A recreational vehicle faucet accessible from outside the vehicle includes a housing having an inlet fitting connected to the fresh water supply. An outlet fitting and valve is provided in the housing interior for delivery of fresh water to the exterior of the vehicle through a hose connected to the valve. The housing includes a cover to close the housing interior and a mounting flange for mounting the housing to the vehicle side wall. In one embodiment of the invention, the housing provides a storage compartment for the hose.
