Skills:

I have experience working closely with teachers K-6 in reviewing the grade level TEKS and designing lessons plans that encourage creativity, innovation, and collaboration among the students allowing them to work in groups creating projects while learning the TEKS. I have trained teachers how to become facilitators in the classrooms which will allow them to differentiate instruction and provide small group instruction as needed. I have encouraged teachers to include technology with their planning which allows students to use technology for researching, planning, and presenting projects. I have worked closely with administrators in planning and presenting professional development training for teachers. I have developed learning labs and trained paraprofessional how to help support the classroom teachers in these labs or in the classrooms with their reading and math instructions. I have planned and managed before and after school tutoring programs for the struggling students and summer school camps for both reinforcement and enrichment purposes. I enjoy meeting with teachers to discuss and plan classroom management issues or subject matter concerns. I enjoy working closely with administrators, teachers, students, parents, and community members.
