Abstract:

A method and system for creating a database of categorized web feeds for facilitating web feed organization is disclosed. One exemplary method includes ascertaining a web feed identifier and searching a categorized collection of websites to determine a hierarchical folder path for the web feed identifier. For example, the Open Directory Project may be searched to determine an appropriate hierarchical folder path for the web feed identifier. The web feed identifier is placed in a corresponding hierarchical folder path within the database of categorized web feeds. The database of categorized web feeds can then be used as a tool for organizing web feeds on a client computer.

Abstract:

Systems and methods for normalizing and customizing syndication feeds. The systems and methods include formulating a request for a syndication feed that has been normalized into a particular syndication feed format, sending the request to a server, and receiving a response from the server, where the response includes the normalized syndication feed. The systems and methods also include receiving a request for a syndication feed from a client, determining whether the syndication feed can be obtained from a cache that is accessible to the server, retrieving the syndication feed from the cache if the syndication feed can be obtained from the cache, retrieving the syndication feed from the source of the syndication feed if the syndication feed can not be obtained from the cache, normalizing the syndication feed into a particular syndication feed format, formulating a response that includes the normalized syndication feed, and sending the response to the client.

Abstract:

Product order and shipping information received via email messages is automatically aggregated for ready user review. Once the user is authenticated, authorization to access their email mailbox is obtained and the email message headers of their entails are analyzed to identify those messages of interest. The bodies of the email messages of interest are parsed to extract the product order and shipping information which is stored and presented for display to the user typically grouped by individual product thus greatly simplifying user review of orders. The aggregated product order and shipping information can be augmented with additional information such as shipping status, delivery status, a product image, and/or a last date that the product can be returned.

Methods and apparatuses for publishing a collection of digital media on a network. In one example of a method, a client digital processing system generates a collection of digital media and transmits collection information, which describes the collection of digital media, to a server digital processing system. From the collection information, a plurality of presentable media is automatically generated; each of these presentable media is capable of being presented to other client digital processing systems which are coupled to the network. In this one example, the network is operating according to a hypertext transfer protocol. Abstract:

Methods and systems for creating a collection of digital media. In one example of a method, at least one search parameter is defined, and a search is performed using the search parameter to search through parameters for a first plurality of digital media. The search obtains a second plurality of digital media which is a subset of the first plurality of digital media. Then a media container is automatically generated from the search results. The media container may, in one embodiment, be a digital picture album having multiple pages with multiple digital pictures.
