Abstract:

A feeder apparatus comprises a plurality of walls defining a feeder body, mounting structure, and a feed holder. The feeder body is hingedly, optionally hingedly and/or removably, mounted to the mounting structure. In some embodiments, the feeder apparatus further includes a blocking plate which is hingedly, optionally hingedly and removably, mounted to the mounting structure. One or more of the feeder body walls and the feed holder have cooperating sliding structures, enabling the feed holder to be slidingly received into, and/or removed from the remainder of the feeder apparatus.

Abstract:

A draw-wedge fastener assembly has a draw plug, an anchor body, and a bolt which slidingly and rotatably extends through the anchor body, and threadedly extends through and engages the draw plug. The draw plug has first and second expandable terminal ends. The anchor body has a first, generally flat, end surface at a first end, and a generally tapered second end. One of the expandable ends of the draw plug interfaces with and expands over the tapered end of the anchor body. The other one of the expandable ends of the draw plug expands as the bolt passes therethrough.

Abstract:

Systems and methods directed to small animal containment and/or breeding include a container top having a vent and a feeding chute. The vent is a plurality of similarly sized holes or a void configured to receive and/or be covered by an exchangeable vent plate or cover. The feeding chute preferably provides a cradle to receive food that can be accessed by a contained animal through the thickness of the chute. A water aperture through the container top is configured to receive a ball bearing sipping tube which is operatively coupled to a water supply implement, but a chew shield is preferably formed integrally as part of the container top to prevent access to through the container top to the water supply implement. Hollow, single-end capped tubes may be provided to extend through one or more apertures formed through the top to allow for small animal or insect extraction.
